Why do we have all have so many scruples with regards to relationships? Everyday I hear of another odd law that apparently I have to abide by. Here are some of my favourites:
We may not date an ex’s ex
We may not date a friend’s ex
We may not date someone who has had sex with at least 2 people we know
We may not date someone our friend likes, even if the feelings are not returned
We may not date an ex’s friends
Why not?
“You don’t want to be seen as a slut”.
“You can do better”.
“You’re better than that”
“You’re already a slut so these rules don’t apply to you”
BORING! We’re all going to screw ourselves sooner or later so does it matter when we do it?
Just had sex with a friend’s ex and it was amazing. Only problem: I can never talk about it since I’ve been sworn to secrecy.Truthfully I am good at keeping quiet but now that I have forced to do so, my entire body seems to be screaming and trying to let it out. I have this feeling that my friend is going to ask me how I am doing and I would yell “I SLEPT WITH YOU EX!” This is probably a good time as any to go for confession as priests are not allowed to say anything. I don’t know if I’m ready to make amends via penance till I’m 50 which is what I’m sure the priest would tell me. I am going to keep y mouth shut because I said I would but I just think all the drama is unnecessary. My head’s already crowded with stuff and keeping the door closed on all this junk is becoming tiring.
So what do you guys think? Should we all follow these rules or should we “screw and let screw”?
